Contacts for DiaNa communication training

At the Faculty of Science and Technology there are several coordinators working with communication training. For more information visit TUR:s page in Medarbetarportalen and the Communication Network.

The DiaNa coordinators (Katarina Andreasen for biology and Lena Henriksson for Biotechnology Engineering) are responsible for the communication training in their field, they inform about DiaNa on courses and sometimes help with the DiaNa exercises. We also help teachers with planning and setting up exercises, and how to upload submissions in the Student Portal and connect them to the communication portfolio. In addition, we organise The Student Conference each autumn togehter with other communication coordinators.

I am project manager for DiaNa and I coordinate the communication training at the Faculty of Science and Technology as well as the training in Biology courses. I also teach and from fall 2012, I am responsible for the course "Professional Qualifications in Biology and Scientific Methods" where I put a lot of focus on communication training. I think that communication training is extremely important. No matter what you work with, you need to be able to convey your subject in a good and interesting way. And it's really exciting to see how the students develop their communication skills!

My free time I spend with my family and especially outdoors or in the garden.

Since August 2012, I work as a project manager for DiaNa, facing the MSc program in Molecular Biotechnology Engineering. Here, my initial focus was to introduce more DiaNa exercises in the education to ensure continuity and progression. Today, I am in constant contact with teachers and students to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that both the teachers' and students' feedback is taken into account in the further development of the exercises.

Most students I will meet already during the course Introduction to molecular biotechnology, where I will present DiaNa and be responsible for the writing assignment.

I myself have a MSc in Molecular Biotechnology Engineering, and also a PhD in Structural Biology from Uppsala University. In my spare time I enjoy crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
